On April 18, we partnered with the Beautification Committee to run the beach part of the town-wide cleanup. On a breezy, damp day that never broke 47 degrees, dozens and dozens of volunteers came to help clear our beaches of trash and debris. We found seven syringes, huge tangles of rope, damaged lobster traps, furniture, plus thousands of pieces of tiny plastic and metal trash, including nip bottles, plastic caps, and balloon fragments.
Thanks to the Beautification Committee for including us in the day, and thanks to the Hull DPW for collecting all the trash our awesome team of volunteers gathered!
Where to begin? So many local businesses helped us reach our fundraising goal; we couldn’t have done it without you!

Spontaneous Beach Cleanup following the season’s first Nor’easter
Following the first Nor’easter of the 2025-2026 season, the Beach Community Action Group held a spontaneous beach cleanup on Friday, October 17.

Sept. 20 Beach Cleanup
Our first cleanup took place on Saturday, September 20, 2025, and nearly 50 people came to clean the two-mile stretch of North Nantasket beach. Volunteers collected dozens of bags of trash, along with large debris, including boat doors, buoys, lumber, and hazardous items, such as nail-filled boards and syringes.

The Beach Community Action Group is a volunteer group focused on keeping North Nantasket Beach enjoyable, clean from trash and debris, and safe for Hull residents and guests. The Beach Community Action Group operates within the confines of the Wetlands Protection Act, the Endangered Species Act, applicable rules and regulations, and works in conjunction with Hull DPW and Conservation to accomplish this mission.
